After  selling the dutch midfielder Sneijder because his wages were too high and Inter are in danger of not playing in Europe because of the new financial rules, the Italian club had renounced to the services of Obiora.
Even if he was not in the first eleven at Inter and the fact that he was held in co-ownership with AC Parma, Obi was seen as a good  player for the future.  The 21 years old midfielder has some appearances in previous seasons in Inter’s shirt, some of them in the Champions League.
This season he played for Parma until the winter when he returned to Inter.He wasn’t retained in Inter’s squad and those from Inter Milan have decided to loan him in Romania at champions CFR Cluj. The Romanian champions have decided to sell the team stars and in their place were brought players with potential, among them Obiora Nwankwo and Sulley Muniru,who is the brother of the famous Sulley Muntari. Obiora Nwankwo  hopes that at CFR Cluj will develop his skills and to be appreciated at his true value.
The nigerian is characterized as a strong player, very mobile, who can help the attack but also the defence. Nwankwo Obiora played a few minutes for Nigeria at African Cup from this winter.
